The creators of Shovel Knight are back with a brand-new adventure. Yacht Club Games officially announced that Mina the Hollower, their highly anticipated retro action-adventure title, will launch on October 31, 2025. To celebrate the announcement, a playable demo is now available on Steam.

Inspired by Game Boy Color-era classics, Mina the Hollower combines fast-paced top-down combat with gothic horror aesthetics and tight, 8-bit-style visuals. Players will take on the role of Mina, a brilliant inventor and whip-wielding Hollower, as she delves into the dark underworld of a cursed island teeming with monsters and mechanical threats.

Originally unveiled as a Kickstarter project in early 2022, Mina the Hollower carries the same attention to pixel-perfect detail and tight gameplay design that made Shovel Knight a modern indie icon. The new demo showcases the game’s core mechanics, including whip-based combat, underground traversal, and classic Zelda-like exploration.
